Boeing advises airlines to check 737 plane wings for defects

Again that pesky Boeing! Some airlines flying model 737 have been advised by Boeing to replace a part on the planes’ wings. This could affect more than 100 aircraft.

The company said they’re working with federal regulators and that they’ve contacted airlines about potential problems discovered in one batch of “slat tracks”. The replacement work should take one to two days after the parts are delivered to the companies in question.

This does not include the 179 737 Max aircraft that could also have faulty parts. The 737 Max was grounded worldwide following two crashes involving the model.
